baby blogger! :)

well, hello friends and family!
as you all know, i don't have a facebook, and don't plan on getting one. ever.
i thought this would be a fun alternative.

it is still under much construction, but i thought i'd still create my first ever post! :)
so... let me start by saying, welcome!
last wednesday, i flew out to texas (home sweet home).

if you don't know, last august i got married and just two weeks later, moved to elko, nevada. my husband, wes, got the job as the associate pastor at shiloh bible church and i followed right by his side and am leading worship here.
i'll tell you, moving 1,500 miles from my family is undeniably the hardest thing i have ever done.
so any trip home is always such a joy. such a blessing.

momma and i took a little road trip to san antonio!

no trip starts until you make that stop to the infamous czech bakery!
oh austin texas, how i love you.
anddd... we made it!
we were just about as girly as any girl can be!
what a divine little stop. gruene, texas.

my mom is my best friend in the world. she has the biggest heart of anyone i know and i strive everyday to be the woman of God and wife that she is. this sweet little trip was very much needed. thanks, ma! :)

so after a time of bliss in san antonio, i got to go eat sushi with my whole family! if you know how much i love sushi, and how much i love my family, you know this is a big, huge, gigantic reward!

i know what you're thinking... what a beautiful family. i don't disagree with you in the slightest!
i miss them terribly. thank you, God, for blessing me with each one of them.

to end my wonderful visit home, my wonderful parents took me on a date to spring creek barbeque!
ain't nothin' like it, folks!

i apologize for the lengthiness of this post. it was the first one... had to! to wrap it up, i will say that God is good. he is faithful. he provides. he loves. he gives grace. he gives hope. he gave me the most amazing family i could ever ask for. they are all treasures to me and i wouldn't trade this trip for the world.

hope you are having a splendid evening.
:)
